DevLog 2: Building a World


Good evening!

So today I've been putting assets together, toying with the look of the game, even making some mock up stuff. For example;


There has been a lot of trial and error today, mostly learning what model files work best in Unreal, learning how seems can show on models if I'm not careful when texturing (lots of fixing to do there!) and that if I'm not using the right models you'll end up with a beauty like this;


Gorgeous right?

So yeah, not exactly progress today, if anything some steps backwards, but only corrections, not total re-works :D

I also toyed around with a possible UI. I want to keep the UI when in gameplay to be pretty simple but "of it's time" so this is what I'm currently working with;
