DevLog 2: Hardware Test


Good afternoon you lovely reader!

So not a whole lot to report today, still working on the level design, currently building a horizontal level where you have to scale a partially built tower avoiding spooky ghosts (no ghosts in the level yet, subject to change if I can't get them to act right, I wanna make Medusa Head type enemies but still working on it).

In the mean time though I put a test build of the .gb ROM into my Pocket-Go emulation device and it runs like a dream!

No idea why the Pocket-Go thinks the Pokemon background for the Super Game Boy is needed here but fair enough!

This has been a big boost to my motivation because it's one thing to make a prototype that runs on PC, that's fun and all, but seeing it run on gaming hardware is a whole different sense of achievement which is really motivating :D

Anywho, back to level designing! All this work is making me miss Mario Maker!
