Update 2


Hey smexy peeps!

Development on the Bubble Frog 2 Prototype is going strong! I've gotten in all the basic mechanics from Bubble Frog 1, made all 10 levels, setup a 'boss chase' level, got an early version of Hub Town working. Even managed to find a jump sound for Bubble Frog that's like 10 times less annoying than his sound in Bubble Frog DX!


The Prototype Build should be out in the next day or two. I planned to have it out by the end of today but there were some family issues I had to deal with so that took up a big chunk of time. Back on track now though!

The Prototype will release with a basic mostly empty version of Hub Town and Pink Zone (10 levels) which tasks you with collecting 20 Onigiri for OniGary!

A LOT will be missing from this build like;

  •  Most of the game
  • Options/Pause Menu
  • Intro
  • Any kind of ending
  • game pad support (maybe? I may sneak that in if I feel I have time)
  • a lot of sound effects
  • Finished versions of the music (none are currently loops and the tracks are not finalized but Cryptid Cabal is doing an amazing job!)
  • Polish (I'm hoping Pink Zone and the Town won't feel so static in the finished game when I go through and add decorations that add to the level but don't make it unreadable).

For anyone who was following along with the Development of Bubble Frog/Bubble Frog DX I'm working on a similar model of releasing test chunks of the game to get feedback as I develop it so I don't release something to find out everyone hates a design choice I've made! As a result I welcome all feedback and criticism, good or bad, it all holds value to help me figure out my path through this development journey! :D

Anyway, hopefully the next update will be tomorrow or Wednesday with an actual playable Prototype for people to try!
